Kurt Swinghammer is a Canadian singer-songwriter and visual artist.〔"Canadian pop finds its own way to rock". ''Toronto Star'', June 30, 1989.〕 A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, Swinghammer joined the band Vital Sines in the 1980s before launching his solo career.〔 His own artwork is sometimes included as a visual element in his performances. In addition to his own albums, he has appeared as a guest musician on albums by Ani DiFranco, Rheostatics, Sarah Slean, Mia Sheard, Dan Bryk and Great Big Sea.
